Landscape Design
Oakwest Landscapes is here to take an idea from start to finish, or Acorn to Oak, as we say around the office. Our clients can rely on our expertise, experience, and dedication to realize their dream space. Though each project is unique, here are the basic steps you can expect in the design process:
Virtual or on-site meeting with our staff
We enjoy learning about you, your space, and your goals. These preliminary meetings are always fun, especially for clients who are new to the Bay Area or the landscape industry. We help our clients learn the vocabulary to describe their perfect landscape and we have some fun tools to help you find your voice.
Conceptual Plan – Written in pen, not stone
Next we create a conceptual plan based on everything we learned about your space and desires. This is our first draft and it can help refine the vision and new design. We’ll take measurements and include relevant details like property lines and location of utilities. At this point we begin to refine the scope of work to align it with your priorities, and budget.
Final Plan – One plan to rule them all
The final draft incorporates all your feedback throughout the process. The Final Plan is scaled, professional, and can be interpreted and used by City Planners to issue permits, gardeners to follow, and contractors to estimate and build. Your Final Plan may include planting, hardscaping, lighting, irrigation and detail pages depending on the necessities of your project.
Project Coordination
Congratulations, you have a garden design that you love! Now we need to build it. Oakwest Landscapes can coordinate the project start to finish. We only use licensed, bonded contractors and pre-review project estimates to ensure professional, skilled craftsmen implement the design correctly. Oakwest Landscapes can also serve as the main point of contact on your behalf to communicate and resolve issues effectively, manage any unexpected changes, and ensure the project goes smoothly through completion.
